This hand-woven fabric was made by the local Black Thai ethnic minority, and was inspired by Japanese Tamba cloth, with silk mixed into a cotton base. All of the fabric is dyed with natural dyes, and MITTAN uses this fabric to make products. The scraps that are produced when cutting products are stocked, and are recut to fit the size of the scraps and sewn into dishcloths.
