Thread Routes LLC (hereinafter “we” or “us”) sets forth the following terms and conditions for use of this website (the “Site”) and the services offered through it, including the online store, REPAIR/REDYE, BUYBACK, and NEWSLETTER (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you (the “User”) agree to these terms.
Part I: General Provisions

1. “Services” means all services provided by us through the Site, including the online store, REPAIR/REDYE, BUYBACK, and NEWSLETTER.
2. “User” means any individual or entity who uses the Services.
3. “Account” means the ID and password registered by a User for access to the Services.

2. Registration and Account Management
1. To use the Services, you must register an Account. You agree to provide and maintain accurate, current and complete registration information.
2. You are responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must not share your credentials or allow any other person to use your Account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
3. Intellectual Property
1. All intellectual property rights in the Content belong to us or our licensors.
2. Users may view and use the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Any copying, reproduction, distribution or modification of the Content without our prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
4. Use of Personal Information
1. We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose personally identifiable information to third parties, except as permitted by that policy.
2. We may disclose personal information if (a) you consent; or (b) disclosure is required by law, criminal investigation, or upon legitimate request from government or judicial authorities.

3. Cause harm or loss to other Users, third parties, or us;
4. Infringe any copyrights, privacy rights or other legal rights;
5. Engage in any unlawful or immoral conduct;
6. Attempt unauthorised access or place excessive load on our systems;
7. Scrape or harvest information without permission;
8. Send items in multiple shipments or otherwise abuse the appraisal/buyback process;
9. Solicit purchases of illicit or counterfeit products;
10. Submit buyback requests if under 20 years of age;
11. Engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate.
Part II: Purchase Terms
6. Price Display
All prices displayed on the Site include consumption tax.
7. Purchase Method
Purchases are made through the Site’s shopping cart function.
8. Payment Methods
We accept credit cards, convenience-store payments, cash on delivery, post-payment and other methods (details to be announced).
9. Transfer of Title and Risk
Title to purchased products passes to you upon completion of payment. Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.
10. Shipping
Products are shipped in accordance with our Shipping Policy.
11. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
12. Resale Prohibition
You may not purchase products for the purpose of resale.
Part III: Buyback Terms
13. Eligible Products
We only buy back items of our own brand, “MITTAN.” Please refer to the BUYBACK page on the Site for details.
14. Appraisal
1. After reviewing the item details submitted via email form, we will inspect the actual item and determine the final buyback price.
2. Unless we determine accessories have value, accessories (boxes, tags, etc.) are not included in the appraisal amount.
15. Identity Verification
1. We verify identity in accordance with the Secondhand Articles Dealer Act by checking documents such as a valid driver’s licence, passport, residence card, health insurance card, etc. (showing name, date of birth and current address).
2. Funds will be transferred only to a bank account in your own name.
16. Payment
1. Once you approve the final appraisal price, we will remit funds to your designated account within five business days in principle.
2. You bear any costs due to communication fees for using the Services.
3. If payment cannot be made due to incorrect account information or legal restrictions, we are excused from prompt payment.
4. We cover transfer fees; you bear any fees for returned transfers due to input errors.
17. Storage Period
1. If we do not hear from you within three months after the appraisal notification, you will be deemed to have abandoned all rights in the item.
2. We may dispose of the item without liability to you thereafter.
18. Return of Items
1. You may request partial return of items before agreeing to the appraisal price.
2. Returns are sent to the registered address only; change of address is not permitted. Return shipping fees are at your expense.
19. Cancellation
1. You cannot cancel or change the terms once a buyback has been confirmed.
2. A buyback is confirmed when we receive your affirmative response to the appraisal price and acknowledge it.
20. Disclaimer
1. We do not compensate for accessories deemed non-value-adding (bags, receipts, boxes, etc.).
2. We do not guarantee against loss from viruses or other harmful programs.
3. We do not warrant operation of any device or software used to access the Services.
4. We do not assume liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits and attorney’s fees.
5. We are not responsible for personal effects found in pockets of submitted items.
6. Any notification obligation is fulfilled by sending notice to the email address you registered.

22. Service Changes
We may modify, suspend or terminate the Services at any time without prior notice.
23. Amendments

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kyoto District Court as the court of first instance.
