Camel leather mini bag
Camels are an animal familiar to MITTAN, and buttons made from their bones have long been used. Camel leather, found around the Mediterranean Sea, the Middle East and North Africa, is characterized by its dense fibers and extremely high strength, yet supple and light, and changes beautifully with use. It is also durable enough to withstand long-term use, so it was adopted as the first leather material.
The leather has a unique grain and a different look from any other leather. Because the animals are raised on pasture, there are many scratches and unevenness, but these are used as they are as they are, as they are a characteristic of the animals. The leather is tanned in Italy using a combination tanning process that combines vegetable tannin tanning with chemical chrome tanning, giving it both the aging properties of tannin tanning and the robustness of chrome tanning. (The chemicals used in the tanning process are harmless to the human body and comply with REACH regulations.)
The design takes advantage of camel leather's suppleness, one of its physical properties, and is characterized by the fact that the handle is made by cutting slits into a single piece of leather and weaving it together. It is a single piece of leather that is not glued together, but by weaving it together it fits comfortably in the hand. The handle is attached to the body by cutting the same leather into string-like pieces and stitching them together. The brand name is engraved on the bottom. Standard polyester thread is used for sewing leather products, as they will be used for continuous use.
