This fabric is made from 100% hemp yarn produced by Italian manufacturer Linificio, and woven at high density in Enshu. After weaving, the fabric is air tumbled at high temperature and pressure to knead and loosen the fibers, resulting in a natural surface and fluffy finish. Hemp is a strong fiber, but as it ages, it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. This bag was inspired by the Japanese way of doing things and the spirituality of "tying" and "wrapping," which have been naturally passed down since ancient times.
