Hanten coat
The fabric is a mossa material woven in Oshu, Aichi Prefecture. It is a smooth wool fabric, so-called high-quality coat fabric. Woolen fabrics often contain nylon for reinforcement, but this is made using only Super 100 wool spun yarn, and is brushed after weaving. All products from weaving onwards are produced in Oshu. It is inspired by Japanese cotton-padded Hanten coats. The hem does not flare out like a Western coat, and when you stand up the collar and tie the front together, it looks like a kimono. The collar and sleeves are double-layered, so it is warm, and there is enough room to wear a thick sweater under the coat, so it can be used until mid-winter. You can also leave the front open to let air in, making it suitable for a longer season. There are no buttons or other fasteners, but you can fasten it with your own pins or belt if necessary.
