CT-05
Tanzen Coat
This padded coat is based on the "Tanzen" cold weather kimono, and is sewn in a workshop in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka . The outer fabric is made of high-density fabric from Hamamatsu, with a cotton warp and wool weft. The lining is also made of high-density cotton fabric, and the cotton inside is sandwiched between the fabric, creating a layer of air, making it warm enough to withstand the middle of winter. Unlike Western clothing, it does not go through a pattern-making process, and is made simply by following measurements, just like Japanese clothing, which is made up of mostly straight lines. The cuffs, collar, hem, and padding are all hand-sewn. A separate waist string is included. The longer length CT-22 is also available.
*When washing, please use a laundry net and neutral detergent, wash by hand in lukewarm water at 30°C, or use the cleaning cycle of the washing machine, spin it for a short time, and then lay it flat to dry naturally. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care and the stuffing.
