Wool River Coat
This coat is made in Oshu using very soft wool from the Geelong region in southern Australia. The nep part is silk spun pongee thread made by re-spinning waste cocoons and other parts that cannot be used for silk thread. By weaving the front and back sides in different colors at the same time, you can enjoy the fabric on both sides with different colors and textures. This coat is designed based on a road wear or half raincoat. The front and back bodies and sleeves are cut in one piece, and the parts other than the collar and pockets are made of one piece. The sleeves are attached horizontally, making it a flat design, but there are few seams, so it is less stressful to wear, and it is very light because it has no lining. By deliberately tailoring the reversible material in a casual way rather than reversing it, we have achieved both functionality and price. It can be worn in various ways by reversing it, opening and closing the collar, folding the sleeves, and opening and closing the snap buttons. You can also find your own unique way of wearing it by tying the waist with a belt or string, or weaving the collar inside. Additionally, there is ample room in the armholes and body width, so you can generally wear a thick sweater underneath.
