CT-16
Hanten long coat
We use a smooth wool fabric that is a blend of a very fine fiber material called Super 140. All processes from weaving to dyeing, shrinking, and finishing are carried out in Bishu.
It is inspired by the Japanese cotton-padded Hanten coat. The hem is not flared like a Western coat, and when the collar is raised and the front is closed, it looks like a kimono. The double-layered collar and sleeves make it warm, and there is enough room to wear a thick sweater underneath the coat, so it can be worn until mid-winter. You can also leave the front open to let air in, so it can be worn for a longer period of time. There are no buttons or other fastenings, but you can fasten it with your own pins or belt if necessary. The shorter length CT-15 is also available.
*To give you an idea of the original fabric, the edge of the fabric is used as is for the seam allowance on the back of the collar. There may be individual differences between the left and right sides, but please understand that this is a design feature.
