Wool River Hanten Coat

This coat is made from very soft wool from the Geelong region in southern Australia and woven in Oshu. By weaving the front and back in different colors at the same time, you can enjoy the different colors and textures of the fabric on both sides. It is inspired by Japanese cotton-padded Hanten coats. The hem does not flare out like a Western coat, and when you stand up the collar and press the front together, it looks like a kimono. There is enough room to wear a thick sweater underneath the coat, so it can be worn until mid-winter. You can also leave the front open to let air in, making it suitable for a longer season. There are no buttons or other fastenings, but you can fasten it with your own pins or belt if necessary.

Handling Instructions

*To give you an idea of the original fabric, the edge of the fabric is used as is for the seam allowance on the back of the collar. There may be individual differences between the left and right sides, but please understand that this is a design feature. *After wearing, gently brush the fur to straighten it out and prevent pilling. If pilling does occur, cut it off with small scissors without pulling it out. We are also available to provide advice on care at any time.
