Padded sashiko woven haori coat
The warp thread is cotton, and the front, middle, and back are each woven with different weft threads, creating an original triple-layered fabric. The wool on the front is woven finely and densely to prevent wind from entering, while the silk spun pongee thread on the back absorbs moisture well and feels soft against the skin. The spongy wool single thread on the middle is not woven with the warp thread, but is left as it is, allowing the yarn to fully swell and act as a filling. This is a design that aims to provide cold protection and comfort that is comparable to synthetic filling fabrics, using only natural fibers. In addition, the sashiko part that can be seen from the front is expressed by weaving, but this thread is made of spun silk pongee thread to create a look. The design has a large body width and sleeve width, creating a pattern that gives it room. The texture of the sashiko weave is brought to life by matching the grain of the fabric from the front edge to the cut-out collar. There are large pockets on both sides, and a separate string is attached that makes use of the fabric ears.
