The fabric used is hand-woven in West Bengal, India, using hand-spun weft yarns mixed with spun warp yarns. For more information on hand-spinning, please refer to the link to the outer fabric spinning section and the blog of our supplier, CALICO . The unevenness created by hand-weaving relatively short-fiber desi cotton gives the fabric a texture like a second skin, and is beautiful even when light shines through it. The occasional random borders are created by the fine changes in yarn lots used in the handwork, and are also one of the fabric's characteristics.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Black)
