mills silk jacket
This is a series of fabrics that was developed for a special exhibition with mills . The fabric, made of 100% silk warp and weft, has a loose weave and a deep expression. Each piece is hand-printed using block printing, a technique that has been passed down since ancient times in Jaipur, India. Block printing is generally done on thin and durable cotton fabrics, but this time we chose to use a fabric with a strong expression. This jacket has an A-line silhouette with minimal seams to bring out the characteristics of the fabric. The raglan sleeves ensure a wide range of motion, while the cuffs and hem are wide and roomy. There are no pockets.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
