OC Checkered Long Coat
Both the warp and weft threads are made of organic cotton slub yarn. While regular machine-spun slub yarns have a uniform texture, this yarn is uneven, as if it were hand-spun, with a maximum difference of about three times the thickness, creating an extremely uneven texture. By weaving with a rapier loom , a unique modification of a shuttle loom, the fabric is soft and does not put strong tension on the thread, giving it a texture close to that of hand-woven fabric. The entire garment, including the collar edge that is cut from the body, is finished with a slack cotton thread, giving it a light feel. The look changes dramatically when the sleeves are rolled up, and it can also be worn casually with the collar unbuttoned. There are pockets on both sides and a separate waist string.
