SN Charkha Cotton Jacket Long
Kala cotton is produced by KHAMIR, an NGO in Kutch, India. For details, please see here . The raw cotton of kala cotton is the original Helbacheum species that has not been bred, and it is characterized by its very low environmental impact because it does not require pesticides and only requires a small amount of water. SN stands for single needle, and is the name of a portable spinning machine for home use invented by Gandhi. Click here to see how the yarn is spun. Currently, while amvirka , which is more productive than single needle, is mainstream, the yarn is spun little by little by local village women and woven by hand. The occasional random border is born from the change in the fine yarn lot of the handmade work, and is also one of the characteristics. By using the fabric ears as they are at the end of the collar, the body is slightly biased, and the pattern fits the body well. The collar can be stood up or folded back, and the sleeves can be folded to the desired length. In addition, by sewing with very fine stitches, the back side is cut with a tassel-like feel. It can be worn reversibly and has a patch pocket on the front. It is a special order item from cite' that is longer than the JK-31 .
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*The pocket edges and back seams are cut off, so the edges of the fabric will fray slightly with each use. If this bothers you, simply cut them off with scissors. Undyed fabrics in particular tend to produce lint at first, but this will gradually subside.
*Dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigments, there is a natural unevenness. To avoid color transfer, avoid combining with light-colored items and always wash separately. Color transfer will subside with use. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Charcoal)
*Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Dark navy)
