Hemp Haori High Density (Plant Dyed)
100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Because it is a finer count than normal hemp fabric, it has a denser weave and is of higher quality. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp remains even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. For the history of hemp cloth , see the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, Director of the Modern Linen Research Institute , and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, see Boken's article . The edge of the fabric is used for the collar edge that continues from the body, and all the sewing is done with a mellow finish of cotton thread, making it a light tailoring. The look changes dramatically when the sleeves are rolled up, and it is also possible to wear it casually with the collar unbuttoned. There are pockets on both sides and a separate waist string.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As this is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Walnut, mugwort, madder)
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As this is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Indigo, Indigo x Walnut)
