Twill weave hemp flat jacket (grass-dyed)
The warp and weft threads are made of 100% hemp yarn produced by the Italian manufacturer Linificio. Although it is a thick fabric, it is woven in a twill weave, which makes it tightly woven and flexible. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton-like. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp remains even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. For more information on the history of hemp cloth, please see the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Modern Linen Research Institute , and for more information on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please see the article by Boeken .
Almost all parts have a linear pattern, and the structure is very flat, so it naturally fits most body types, just like a kimono. The placket and hem are usually sewn with separate parts, but this one is made in one piece, giving it a simple design. The buttons are all hand-sewn using shells.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Enjoy the unevenness of plant dyes and how they change over time. To prevent color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Sweat and light can cause discoloration, so please handle with care and store away from sunlight and fluorescent lights. (Walnut, Walnut (Dark), Mugwort (Dark), Horse Chestnut (Dark))
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Each item has a slightly different color and size. (Indigo (dark))
*Enjoy the unevenness of plant dyes and how they change over time. To prevent color transfer due to friction, avoid using with light-colored items, wash separately with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Sweat and sunlight can cause discoloration, so please store and handle with care. (Persimmon tannin x red ocher, persimmon tannin x ink, ink x turmeric x indigo)
