NM Wool OC Twill Jacket
This original twill fabric is woven at a high density using non-mulesing wool for the warp and organic cotton yarn dyed for the weft. The wool is tightly twisted and combined with cotton to ensure strength while being suitable for year-round use. The warp threads are all black, and the weft threads are available in black and white and navy blue. The color difference gives the fabric a subtle sheen and deep look similar to chambray. The raw materials used are not mulesed (the removal of part of the skin and flesh without anesthesia to prevent disease-causing parasites from attaching to the folds of the sheep's buttocks) to reduce the burden on the sheep.
The back is cut from the yoke to the sleeves, the front has raglan sleeves, and the sides have gussets, all of which are functional patterns that emphasize range of motion. The pockets are designed to take advantage of the fabric changes, and the buttons are minimalist, with snap buttons that are not visible from the outside. The lining is made of 100% organic cotton, just like the weft thread of the outer fabric.
