Padded sashiko woven jacket 2

The warp thread is made of cotton, and the front, middle, and back are each woven with different weft threads, creating an original triple-layered fabric. The wool on the front is woven finely and densely to prevent wind from entering, while the silk spun pongee thread on the back absorbs moisture well and feels soft against the skin. The spongy wool single thread on the middle is left floating without being woven with the warp thread, allowing the yarn to fully swell and act as a filling. Made only with natural fibers, it is designed to be as warm and comfortable as synthetic filling fabrics. The sashiko parts visible from the front are woven, but the thread used here is spun pongee thread to create a unique look.

The design has a wide body and sleeve width, giving it a roomy pattern. The weave of the fabric is aligned from the front edge to the collar, bringing out the expression of the sashiko weave. There are large pockets on both sides.

Handling Instructions

*This material is prone to dimensional changes due to washing. When washing, use a neutral detergent and wash by hand in lukewarm water at 30°C or use the cleaning cycle on the washing machine. If you stretch it sufficiently and hang it out to dry, it will return to its original dimensions. *We use natural materials with a unique texture. Please consider the knots and unevenness of the thread as part of the look. When you first start using it, some pilling will fall off the back, but this will settle down with repeated use. Do not pull on any fuzz that appears during use, but cut off any areas that bother you.
