Hemp Haori High Density
100% hemp yarn is used for the warp and weft. Because it has a finer count than regular hemp fabric, it has a denser weave and is a higher quality fabric. Hemp is a strong fiber, but over time it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin, allowing you to enjoy the change in texture from linen to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp persists even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. For more information on the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Yoshida Shinichiro, director of the Early Modern Linen Research Institute, and for more information on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by Boeken .
This oversized jacket features a wide collar that continues from the body and is reversible. The wide collar gives it a windbreaker-like feel. The front can be worn deep, so if you wear it tightly and tie the strings, it provides excellent wind protection. This design is not rooted in any particular ethnic motif, but if you wear it deep and tighten the waist string, it gives the impression of a Bhutanese Ngo or a Mongolian Deel. It comes with pockets on both sides and a separate waist string.
