JS-03
Wool smooth hooded jacket
This material is made from worsted yarn using a very fine fibre material called Super140, which is knitted on both sides and then shrunk, making it pleasant to the touch, soft and smooth, elastic and stable.
Based on a pre-war workwear shirt, the pattern is made almost entirely of straight lines apart from the hood. With no shoulder slope, the pattern is very simple and flat, so it suits many people, like a kimono. The armholes are set fairly small and there are no pockets, so it can also be worn as an inner layer under a jacket or coat. It can also be worn reversed, with the seam allowances showing on the outside. As the edges are left raw, the body and sleeve lengths can be shortened fairly easily by reinforcing the stitch line. A longer version, JS-04, is also available.
