Uruguayan wool sweater
The yarn is made from ultra-fine merino wool with an average fineness of 15.5 microns from Uruguay in South America. It is smooth yet bulky, with a texture similar to cashmere, and by using two strands of yarn, it creates a mid-gauge knit with moderate volume. The raw material is spun by Fukaki Keori, a spinning factory in Senshu, Osaka. The knitting factory is in Katsurao Village, Fukushima, and was established by Kaneizumi Knit, which has its headquarters and factory in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, using the national subsidy for self-reliance and return support employment creation enterprises. Please refer to the Hobonichi article for more details.
