Hemp dress (dark plant dye)
100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more familiar with the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp continues even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. For the history of hemp cloth, see the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, Director of the Modern Linen Research Institute , and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, see Boken's article . The pattern was originally designed to be made from kimono rolls, with almost straight lines except for the curves at the neckline and sides, and the sleeves, lower body, and gusset are completely rectangular. It has a flat structure like a kimono, but when you put your body in it, it becomes three-dimensional, and the bias-shaped upper body and gathers on the back naturally fit your body. It can also be worn with the front open. There are pockets on both sides and a separate waist string.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. Since there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash it with a neutral detergent, and dry it in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly.
