Linen and cotton high density long pants
Woven in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka on an old-fashioned shuttle loom, this fabric uses cotton for the high-density warp and linen for the weft. Although shuttle looms are slower than modern looms, the careful weaving of each weft thread gives the fabric a firm, stiff texture. This weaving brings out the smooth texture of the linen and the softness of the cotton, resulting in a fabric that is both paper-like light and strong. This stiffness means that the fabric does not cling to the skin, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer.
These wide, straight pants have a good length. They use thick 20-count stitching, have wide belt loops, and have a large hem facing, giving them a rugged look. There are single-welt pockets on the back instead of patch pockets, and the waist string is an original cord made in Uji, Kyoto .
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
