Flax Ramie Shorts
The fabric used was discontinued in the past, but was re-produced for this project. The warp and weft are made of a domestically spun blend of two types of hemp, linen and ramie, which gives the fabric a firm texture and moderate thickness. In addition, the sagging characteristic of flax is reduced by blending it with ramie. Repeated wear will give the fabric a texture similar to that of old cloth. For details on the differences between flax, ramie, and hemp, please refer to Boken's article . The fabric is heavy, so it has belt loops to withstand its own weight, but the elastic waistband and organic cotton string on the inside mean that it can be worn without a belt. The hem is left uncinched and spread out to give it a light impression.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigments, there is a natural unevenness. To avoid color transfer, avoid combining with light-colored items and always wash separately. Color transfer will subside with use. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Charcoal)
*Dyed in dark colors. Please avoid mixing with light colors to avoid color transfer. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Dark green, dark blue, inky black, black)
