Bamboo pants (grass-dyed)
Bamboo is a strong fiber, but as it is too short to be spun as it is, it is mixed with cotton and spun, and the resulting yarn is used for the warp and weave of the fabric. Bamboo fiber is different from rayon produced by the viscose method, which is an environmentally hazardous process, and is still labeled as bamboo. (For details, see the link to the outer fabric raw materials below.) The yarn has natural irregularities, does not stick to the skin, and the firmness of the bamboo lasts for a long time, making it comfortable to wear, especially in midsummer.
The pants have belt loops so that they can withstand the weight of your own body and the weight of your belongings, but they can also be worn without a belt thanks to the elastic waistband and drawstring. Taking inspiration from sarouel and monpe patterns, the pants are made with seams to create a sense of volume. Although the rise is deep, they are easy to move in as they allow for freedom of movement, and the steep taper from the knee to the hem can be adjusted by rolling them up. The pants have a simple design while still being functional, so you can choose the size that suits you best regardless of your body type. The waist string is an original cord made in Uji, Kyoto , and all of the sewing, including the overlock sewing machine, is done using cotton thread.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
(Walnut (dark), mugwort (dark), chestnut (dark))
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As this is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Indigo (dark))
*Enjoy the unevenness of plant dyes and how they change over time. To prevent color transfer due to friction, avoid using with light-colored items, wash separately with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Sweat and sunlight can cause discoloration, so please store and handle with care. (Persimmon tannin x red iron oxide, Persimmon tannin x ink, Indigo x turmeric x ink)
