Hemp pants (dark plant dye)
100% hemp threads are used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but as it ages it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton-like. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp persists even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. Please refer to the article by Yoshida Shinichiro, Director of the Modern Linen Research Institute, for the history of hemp cloth, and to Boeken's article for details on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax.
The pants have belt loops so that they can withstand the weight of your own body and the weight of your belongings, but they can also be worn without a belt thanks to the elastic waist and drawstring. The pattern is based on monpe and tatsuke. The rise is deep, but they are easy to move in as they allow for freedom of movement, and the steep taper from the knee to the hem can be adjusted by rolling up the pants. The pants have a simple design while still being functional, so you can choose the size that suits you best regardless of your body type. The waist string is an original cord made in Uji, Kyoto , and all of the sewing, including the overlock sewing machine, is done using cotton thread.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
(Walnut (dark), mugwort (dark), chestnut (dark))
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As this is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Indigo (dark))
*Enjoy the unevenness of plant dyes and how they change over time. To prevent color transfer due to friction, avoid using with light-colored items, wash separately with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Sweat and sunlight can cause discoloration, so please store and handle with care. (Persimmon tannin x red iron oxide, Persimmon tannin x ink, Indigo x turmeric x ink)
