Fuzzy hemp wide-leg pants
This original fabric is woven in Yamashina, Kyoto, using thick hemp threads for both the warp and weft, and then undergoes a surface napping process. The napping creates a softness and texture that is more comfortable than typical hemp fabrics, resulting in a finish that feels like it's already familiar to the skin. After dyeing, the light reflects intricately off the fluffy surface, creating depth and dimension in the color. Hemp is a very strong fiber, yet it becomes even more supple with repeated wear, and its unique texture increases the more it is used. For more information on the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Modern Hemp Cloth Research Institute, and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by BOKEN.
These wide-leg pants, with their cropped length just below the knee, give a cool and refreshing impression._ Deep tucks at the waist and darts at the hem create a three-dimensional silhouette._ The ample space between the fabric and the body ensures good breathability, making them suitable for summer wear._ The entire waistband uses stretchy fabric, and they feature a front-opening design._ Nut buttons, which have a lower environmental impact, are used for the buttons.
