This material is made with fine, tightly twisted cotton yarns woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom for the warp and weft. It is difficult to weave tightly twisted yarns for the warp even by machine, so it is woven by hand by craftsmen with great care. Although it looks flat, it has a double weave with a moderate firmness that lasts for a long time. A gusset in the crotch ensures freedom of movement, while the taper is pushed to its limit, creating a silhouette reminiscent of tatsuke worn with leg wraps. Compared to other pants, these feature deep front and back pockets, and the waist string is made of organic cotton.
