Kala cotton pants (red ocher dyed)
PT-23Bkala Cotton Pants (Bengara Dyed)For more information on kala cotton, produced by KHAMIR, an NGO in Kutch, India, please click here . The raw cotton of kala cotton is the original Helbacheum species that has not been bred, and it is characterized by its very low environmental impact as it does not require pesticides and requires only a small amount of water. The raw cotton with short fiber length is spun by local machines and woven by artisans in local villages. The yarn is strongly twisted, so it has a natural texture = elasticity, and it naturally fits the body. The random borders that occur occasionally are created by changes in the fine yarn lots used in handmade work, and are also one of the characteristics. The pattern is based on monpe and tatsuke. Although the rise is deep, it is easy to move around because it ensures a certain amount of movement, and the steep taper from the knee to the hem can be adjusted by rolling up. The design is simple yet functional, so you can choose your favorite size regardless of your body type. The waist cord is an original cord made in Uji, Kyoto , and all of the sewing, including the serger, is done using cotton thread.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Natural pigments are fixed with natural rubber, so there is a natural unevenness. To avoid color transfer, avoid combining with light colors and be sure to wash it separately from other items the first 1-2 times. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
