Hemp pants (mud dyed)
100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more familiar with the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool touch, which is a characteristic of hemp, continues even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. For the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Modern Linen Research Institute , and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by Boken . Belt loops are attached to withstand the weight of the garment itself and the weight of the items carried, but the elastic waistband and string make it possible to wear it without a belt. The pattern is based on monpe and tatsuke. Although the rise is deep, it is easy to move around in because it ensures freedom of movement, and the steep taper from the knee to the hem can be adjusted by rolling up. The design is simple yet functional, so you can choose the size you like regardless of your body type. The waist string is an original string made in Uji, Kyoto , and all the sewing is done with cotton thread, including the overlock machine.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with sharinbai and mordanted with mud. Avoid using with light-colored items, wash alone with neutral detergent and dry in the shade. Threads, stiffness, and mud particles that come out during washing will gradually settle. Because this is a product dye, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
