100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more familiar with the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp remains even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. For more information on the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Modern Linen Research Institute, and for more information on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by Boken. There are belt loops, but the waist is elastic and the original cord (made in Uji, Kyoto ) is made of cord, so it can be worn without a belt. It has a relatively strong taper, giving it a clean silhouette. It can also be adjusted by rolling up the pants.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed in dark colors. Please avoid mixing with light colors to avoid color transfer. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
