Hemp Long 2
100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fibre, but it gradually becomes more familiar with the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp remains even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. For more information on the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Modern Linen Research Institute , and for more information on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by Boken . There are belt loops, but the waist is elastic and the original cord (made in Uji, Kyoto ) is made of cord, so it can be worn without a belt. It has a relatively strong taper, giving it a clean silhouette. It can also be adjusted by rolling up the pants.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fibre lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigments, there is a natural unevenness. To avoid colour transfer, avoid combining with light-coloured items and always wash separately. Colour transfer will subside with use. Since it is product dyed, the colour and size of each item will vary slightly. (Charcoal)
*Dyed in dark colours. Please avoid mixing with light colours to avoid colour transfer. To prevent colour fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the colour and size of each item may vary slightly. (Dark navy, black ink, black)
