SC-02
Weft Cadistole
SC-02 Weft Khadi Stall This fabric is hand-woven in West Bengal, India, with hand-spun weft threads mixed with spun warp threads. (Since only the weft thread is hand-spun, it is called weft khadi.) Please refer to the link to the outer fabric spinning section and the blog of our supplier, CALICO, for details on the hand-spinning process. The unevenness created by hand-spinning and hand-weaving relatively short-fibre desi cotton gives it a texture like another skin, and is characterised by its beauty when seen through the light.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of colour transfer, avoid using it with light-coloured items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As it is product dyed, the colour and size of each item will vary slightly. (Walnut, Scutellaria x Walnut)
*Dyed with natural indigo. The colour will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of colour transfer, avoid using with light-coloured items at first, wash with neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. As this is product dyed, the colour and size of each item will vary slightly. (Indigo x Walnut, Indigo x Scutellaria, Indigo (Dark))
