Nashi Silk Stole

Nasi is a part of the silk that Indian wild silkworms, or tasar silkworms, make when they hang from a tree. The weft thread is made from spun silk threads made from nasi, and the warp thread is made from fine, unrefined raw silk. This original fabric is woven in plain weave. The off-white color is undyed. Both the weft nasi thread and the warp raw silk are stronger than normal glossy silk threads, and the fabric has a stiff, crisp texture that changes to a softer texture like denim with repeated daily wear. Nasi thread is as strong as wool, so it has resilience and does not wear out even when used repeatedly.

Handling Instructions

*This product uses delicate fabric that emphasizes the texture of natural materials. Please be careful not to apply too much force as this may cause the weave to become distorted. When washing, please wash gently by hand or use a laundry net and the washing machine's cleaning cycle. *Due to the washing process after sewing, the color and size may vary slightly from item to item. (Natural White) *Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade.
