SC-49
Large sashiko blanket with padding
The warp thread is cotton, and the surface, middle, and back are each woven with different weft threads, creating an original triple-layered fabric. The wool on the surface is woven finely and densely to enhance heat retention, while the silk spun pongee thread on the back absorbs moisture well and feels soft against the skin. The spongy wool single thread on the middle is not woven with the warp thread, but is left as it is, allowing the yarn to fully swell and act as a filling. This is a design that aims to provide cold protection and comfort that is comparable to synthetic filling fabrics, using only natural fibers. In addition, the sashiko parts visible from the front are woven, but the thread used here is silk spun pongee thread to create a unique look. It can be used for various purposes, such as blankets and sofa covers. The more you use it, the more you can enjoy the texture.
