Hemp open-neck shirt
100% hemp threads are used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but as it ages it gradually becomes more comfortable against the skin, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton-like. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp persists even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. Please refer to the article by Yoshida Shinichiro, Director of the Modern Linen Research Institute, for the history of hemp cloth, and to Boeken's article for details on the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax.
The shirt is proposed as a piece of clothing that makes up modern ethnic clothing. While the construction follows the rules of Western clothing, the design has been stripped down as much as possible, with the pattern being based on functionality. Specifically, the sleeve caps are tucked in and the bottom sleeves are set higher to ensure freedom of movement around the arms, and the back yoke is tucked in rather than gathered, ensuring freedom of movement in the back. It is a basic silhouette that will become a new standard. The buttons are made of freshwater pearl.
