SH-152
Ramie silk shirt
This fabric is made with 100% ramie yarn for the warp and a blended ramie and silk yarn for the weft, resulting in an extremely lightweight and thin fabric. The combination of ramie's smooth texture and silk's luster creates a simple yet striking fabric. Both the warp and weft use a very fine 160-count yarn, which is usually difficult to spin at this fineness. To overcome this, the fabric is woven with water-soluble threads for reinforcement. After weaving, the fabric is hot-washed to remove the reinforcing threads, achieving a balance of lightness and thinness.
This shirt features a silhouette with a comfortable, relaxed fit, perfect for everyday wear, while still taking advantage of the fabric's sheer quality. It incorporates functional details such as gathers in the sleeve cap for ease of movement and slits in the sides, all while maintaining a simple design. The lack of cut-in cuffs and the use of a folded and stitched shoulder seam (without a yoke) minimizes stress on the delicate fabric. Shell buttons are used.
