Hemp Haori Shirt
100% hemp thread is used for the warp and weft. Hemp is a strong fiber, but it gradually becomes more familiar with the skin over time, and you can enjoy the change in texture from hemp to cotton. The cool feel that is characteristic of hemp continues even after repeated washing, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. For the history of hemp cloth, please refer to the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Institute of Modern Linen Cloth , and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, please refer to the article by Boken . This haori shirt is designed to be worn close to the skin, and the rectangular collar and triangular pattern inserted into the front are based on kimonos (long kimonos). The sleeves have reverse cuffs, so the length can be adjusted to suit the wearer's preferences and the climate. In addition, all structural lines are sewn with folded seams by artisans, making it a sturdy garment.
*Dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigments, there is a natural unevenness. To avoid color transfer, avoid combining with light-colored items and always wash separately. Color transfer will subside with use. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Charcoal)
*Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Dark navy/black)
