SH-43Ckala Cotton Haori Shirt (Plant Dyed)For more information on kala cotton, produced by KHAMIR, an NGO in Kutch, India, please click here . The raw cotton of kala cotton is the original Helbaceum species that has not been bred, and it is characterized by its very low environmental impact as it does not require pesticides and only requires a small amount of water. The raw cotton with short fiber length is spun on a local machine and woven by artisans in local villages. The yarn is strongly twisted, so it has a natural texture = elasticity, and naturally fits the body. The occasional random borders are created by changes in the fine yarn lots of the handmade work, and are also one of the characteristics.
This haori shirt is designed to be worn close to the skin, and its rectangular collar and triangular pattern on the front are inspired by kimonos (long garments). The sleeves have reverse cuffs, so the length can be adjusted to suit the wearer's preferences and the climate. All structural lines are carefully sewn by artisans with folded seams, making the garment very sturdy.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed with dyes extracted from plants and insects, there is a natural unevenness. As there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
