Okazaki Cotton Shirt (Reinforced)
This shirt uses deadstock Okazaki cotton that was given to us by Mr. Akio Tanaka, a true indigo dyer from Kawaguchi, Saitama. We focused on the functionality of the fabric, which was originally intended for obi belts, and used it for shirts. Because it is woven on an old shuttle loom, it has a hand-woven feel, and because the weft threads are woven loosely, it has natural stretch. For more information on the background of Okazaki cotton, please see Kero Kikaku's blog .
*Dyed with Kishu Binchotan charcoal and pigments, there is a natural unevenness. To avoid color transfer, avoid combining with light-colored items and always wash separately. Color transfer will subside with use. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly. (Charcoal)
*Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Dark navy/black)
