SH-54Ckala Cotton Pullover Small (Plant Dyed)For more information on kala cotton, produced by KHAMIR, an NGO in Kutch, India, please click here . The raw cotton of kala cotton is the original Helbacheum species that has not been bred, and it is characterized by its very low environmental impact because it does not require pesticides and only requires a small amount of water. The raw cotton with short fiber length is spun by local machines and woven by artisans in local villages. The yarn is strongly twisted, so it has a natural texture = elasticity, so it naturally fits the body. The random borders that sometimes appear are created by changes in the fine yarn lots of handwork, and are also one of the characteristics. The unevenness and natural texture of the yarn of kala cotton make it comfortable against the skin, and it does not stick even when you sweat, so it can be worn comfortably even in the summer. The split raglan sleeves and short length ensure a moderate amount of movement, and the collar that stands up beautifully even after repeated washing gives a more neat impression than a T-shirt.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. Since there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash it with a neutral detergent, and dry it in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly.
