Khadi shirt (mud dyed) (reinforced)
The khadi used is hand-spun and hand-woven in West Bengal, India. For details on hand-spinning, please refer to the link to the outer fabric spinning and the blog of CALICO , the supplier. The unevenness created by hand-spinning and hand-weaving relatively short-fiber desi cotton gives it a texture like another skin, and is beautiful even when lit through. The occasional random borders are created by small changes in the yarn lot by handwork, and are also one of the characteristics. The shirt is proposed as a Western clothing that constitutes modern ethnic clothing. The construction follows the rules of Western clothing, but the design is stripped away as much as possible, and the pattern is made based on functionality. Specifically, the sleeve cap is tucked and the bottom of the sleeve is set high to ensure movement around the arms, and the yoke on the back is tucked rather than gathered to ensure movement in the back. In addition, instead of the adhesive interlining used in normal shirts, the outer fabric is fluffed, and all the sewing threads are cotton thread No. 30, which gives it a soft finish, so it can be worn comfortably even against bare skin. The placket is made of fabric selvedge to give it a hand-woven texture, and the buttons are made of freshwater pearl. The reinforcement stitches have been pre-stitched with fine machine stitches in 10 places to prevent the seams from tearing over time. (A different shell is used than in SH-03.)
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed with sharinbai and mordanted with mud. Avoid using with light-colored items, wash alone with neutral detergent and dry in the shade. Threads, stiffness, and mud particles that come out during washing will gradually settle. Because this is a product dye, the color and size of each item may vary slightly.
