Okazaki cotton shirt (indigo dyed at Kumiko Mori's studio)
We use deadstock Okazaki cotton that we received from Mr. Akio Tanaka, a true indigo dyer from Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. We focused on the functionality of the fabric, which was originally left over for obi belts, and used it for shirts. Because it is woven on an old shuttle loom, it has a texture that is almost like hand-woven fabric. In addition, because the weft threads are woven loosely, it has natural stretchability. *Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. Since there is a possibility of color transfer, please refrain from using it with light-colored items at first, wash it with a neutral detergent, and dry it in the shade. Since it is product dyed, the color and size of each item will vary slightly.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
