Large Khadi Shirt
We use khadi made by hand-spinning and hand-weaving both the warp and weft in West Bengal, India. For more information on hand-spinning, please refer to the link to the outer fabric spinning page and the blog of our supplier, CALICO . The unevenness created by hand-spinning and hand-weaving relatively short-fiber desi cotton gives it a texture like another skin, and it is beautiful even when lit through. The occasional random borders are created by the fine changes in the yarn lot by handwork, and are also one of the characteristics. The shirt is proposed as a Western clothing that constitutes modern ethnic clothing. The construction follows the rules of Western clothing, but the design has been stripped down as much as possible, and the pattern is made based on functionality. Specifically, the sleeve cap is tucked in and the bottom of the sleeve is set high to allow movement around the arms, and the yoke on the back is tucked in instead of tucked or gathered to allow movement in the back. The silhouette is oversized and relaxed.
*Because we use hand-woven fabric, there are individual differences in size and texture. Please consider the weaving habits, knots in the thread, and pilling as part of the expression. As it is weaker than machine-woven fabric, please avoid excessive strain. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about care.
*Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid mixing with light colors. To prevent color fading, use a dry-cleaning detergent and dry in the shade. Due to post-production processing, the color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Black)
