SH-82
Large flax check shirt
The shirt uses original fabric woven in Oshu. The base of the fabric is wool, which makes it comfortable to wear even in summer. Linen is also woven into the grid lines. The different shrinkage rates of linen and wool create a unique uneven surface, which makes the material less likely to stick to the skin. Normally, the warp threads are wound onto a single beam (like a large bobbin that winds the warp threads), but in order to use warp threads with different properties, the shirt is woven using a time-consuming double beam method. The shirt is proposed as a Western-style garment that constitutes modern ethnic clothing. The construction follows the rules of Western clothing, but the design has been stripped away as much as possible, and the pattern is made based on functionality. Specifically, the sleeve cap is tucked in and the bottom of the sleeve is set higher to allow for movement around the arms, and the yoke on the back is tucked in rather than gathered, to allow for movement in the back. The silhouette is oversized and relaxed. Shell buttons are used for the buttons.
