Soft hemp long shirt (plant dyed)
The fabric is similar in thickness to standard hemp fabric, but the weave density is slightly tighter, and after weaving, the fabric is processed at a finishing factory in Shiga, softening the stiffness that is unique to hemp. It is characterized by the fact that it has the softness that normal plain weave hemp gets from wearing it for a long time. For the history of hemp cloth, see the article by Shinichiro Yoshida, director of the Institute of Modern Linen Research , and for the differences between hemp, ramie, and flax, see Boken's article . The width of the body is generous, and the design allows it to be worn as both a dress and a haori. The front part is a modified placket that is folded back like origami, and the design hides all buttons except the top button, giving it a minimalist impression. The collar has the appearance of a stand-up collar, but is characterized by a shape that follows the straight neckline of a kimono. The buttons are made of shells.
*There are knots and unevenness in the threads that are unique to natural materials. This is because we place importance on texture and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths, so please consider this as part of the look. Please be careful not to pull on the knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break and create holes in the fabric.
*Please enjoy the natural unevenness and aging caused by plant dyeing. To prevent color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. Please note that it may discolor in response to alkaline or acidic items or sweat. (Walnut, mugwort, chestnut)
*Dyed with natural indigo. The color will become lighter with repeated use. As there is a possibility of color transfer, avoid using with light-colored items at first, wash with a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade. The color and size of each item may vary slightly. (Indigo, Indigo x Walnut)
