The raw cotton of kala cotton is the original Helbaceum species that has not been bred, and it is characterised by its very low environmental impact as it does not require pesticides and requires a small amount of water. While the amvirka , which is more productive than the single needle, is currently mainstream, the yarn is spun little by little by the women of the local villages and woven by hand. The random borders that appear from time to time are created by the fine changes in the yarn lots of the handwork, and are also one of the characteristics of the fabric.
