Silk pongee yarn short sleeve flat T

This is a material suitable for everyday wear, made by re-spinning waste cocoons and other parts that cannot be used for silk thread into thick spun silk thread and knitting it in a medium gauge jersey. Silk has excellent moisture absorption, release, and deodorising properties, and the uneven texture of the silk spun silk thread means it does not stick to the skin, making it comfortable to wear even in the summer.

A very flat T-shirt, built entirely from straight lines apart from the neckline, and from rectangular pattern pieces apart from the trapezoid sleeves. Like a kimono, it naturally fits a wide range of body types. The collar edge, cuffs, and hem are finished with pieces cut on a different grain, using the natural curl of jersey knit. The neckline stays the same size across all sizes. It is sewn entirely with cotton thread.

Handling Instructions

*When washing at home, please use a laundry net and wash on the hand wash setting. If the dimensions change after washing, gently pull in the direction of shrinkage to return to the original size. Straw-like plants may get mixed in during the spinning process and come into contact with your skin, but they can be removed by hand.
