High-Twist Silk Noil High-Neck Long-Sleeve

A yarn spun from short fibres such as waste cocoons that cannot be reeled into raw silk. To overcome the drawbacks of silk jersey — a tendency to sag and low abrasion resistance — the yarn is given a high twist, which brings moderate spring-back and improved strength in this original fabric. Silk absorbs and releases moisture well and is warm; as a protein fibre built from amino acids close to those of human skin, it can be worn comfortably next to the body.

A high-neck, long-sleeve T-shirt in our staple high-twist silk noil fabric. It is cut to a compact size that is easy to wear on its own or as a layer. The neck and cuffs use a stretchier rib knit of the same yarn. The neck follows the line of the neck as closely as possible so as not to interfere when layering, sized so it still goes on and off without trouble.

Handling Instructions
