Khadi sashiko pattern multi-use (red iron oxide dye)
We use khadi that is hand-spun and hand-woven in West Bengal, India. Khadi is characterized by the uneven texture that can only be achieved by hand using relatively short desi cotton fibers, and the randomly appearing borders are the result of changes in thread lots during handwork, giving it a unique feel. This is an original upcycled material, where small scraps of material left over from cutting are arranged on the leftover khadi fabric and sewn on with an embroidery machine. Cupra (recycled cotton fiber) is used for the sewing thread used in the embroidery machine, and cotton thread is also used for the sewing thread of the product, so no petroleum-based fibers are used.
